Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder is one of the most common disorders in children and those with it have deficits in executive functions and concentration and learning. Therefore the aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of parenting model based on executive function theory and Barkley’s program on executive functions and learning behaviors of children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder. The research method was quasi-experimental designs with pretest-posttest and two-month follow-up. A sample of 45 mothers with children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder in Isfahan in spring and summer of 2018 was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria in three groups (two experimental and one control group) and each group 15 persons were assigned. The College Neuropsychological Test (2002) and the Learning Behaviors Scale (2000) at pre-test, post-test, and follow-up were used to measure the dependent variables. The first experimental group underwent 12 sessions of parenting model based on performance theory and the second experimental group underwent 8 sessions of Barkley’s program and the control node received no treatment. Data were analyzed by repeated measures ANOVA and SPSS software. Parenting model based on theories of executive functions and Barkley’s program have positive effects on executive functions and learning behaviors of children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (p<0.05). That is, parenting paradigms based on theories of executive functions and the Barkley’s program have significantly improved executive functions and learning behaviors of children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder. Therefore, the parenting model based on theories of executive functions and the Barclays program are applicable to improve the executive functions and learning behaviors of children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder along with other effective treatments.

In the late decades, specialists have investigated the impact of multiple psychological interventions on treatment of depression disorder. In order to save budget and time, many of such interventions have been provided in groups, reporting significant changes in the experiment groups vis-à-vis the control groups. Even so, the precise degree of their effect is unknown. This study aims to gather and integrate the results originating from group psychological interventions in treating depression and computing the level of their effect using a meta-analysis. To this end, 41 methodologically acceptable studies were selected and underwent a meta-analysis. The research instrument includes a meta-analysis checklist. The findings suggest that the level of impact of group psychological interventions on improved depression is 0.59 (p<0.001), which was put at 0.42 (p<0.01) in the age-range of children and adolescents, 0.64 (p<0.001) among the adults, and 0.50 (p<0.001) among the elderly. Moreover, the results of moderation analysis suggested the influence of moderating variables in such interventions. According to this meta-analysis, the degree of impact of group psychological interventions on treating depression is high as indicated by Cohen's chart. This level of effect was high among adults and the elderly, while mediocre among children and adolescents. Furthermore, the impact of moderating variables was more in the child and adolescents group than adults and the elderly

In recent years, experts in the field of obsessive-compulsive disorder are trying to measure and compare the validity and efficiency of psychological interventions and drug therapy. In this regard, a meta-analysis integrating results of different researches demonstrates the effect size of treatments.
This study aims to study the impact of psychological interventions and drug therapy on reducing symptoms of obsessive-compulsive patients. For this purpose, 40 accepted researches were selected and meta-analysis was performed on them. Research instrument was a checklist of meta-analysis.The effect size of psychological interventions on reducing obsessive-compulsive symptoms was 1/88( p ≤ 0.001) and for drug therapy 1/11 (p ≤ 0.001).
According to Cohen's effect size, psychological interventions and drug therapy have a high impact on reducing symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
