he main purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of self regulation couple therapy on marital conflicts. The populations of the study were all the couples referred to pooyesh counseling center. Sample includes 16 couples who referred to clinic during 2006 to 2007. Marital conflict was measured using the Marital Conflict Questionnaire (MCQ). This is a valid questionnaire to measure marital disagreements in couples. The results of this study using Mann-Whitney Test showed that self regulation couple therapy decreases the couple’s marital conflict (P = 0/003) specially conflicts about sexual relationship(P = 0/04), emotional reactions (P = 0/008), family relations (P=0/002) and demand of child’s support (P = 0/047). Findings demonstrated that this method might be an efficient way to relief marital conflicts. These findings should encourage couple therapists to consider the role self-regulation of couples as an important factor in enhancing marital adjustment.

he interactional effect of Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) and life skills training (LST) on university students` mental health were carried out in a randomized block designs study. At first, 166 male & female university students were randomly selected out of 11370 students at Islamic Azad University in Borujerd. Then Spiritual Intelligence questionnaires (Naseri & Sohrabi, 1386), and Symptoms Checklist-90- Revised (Derogatis at al, 1975), were filled out as the pretest by the subjects. On the basis of the results of the Spiritual Intelligence questionnaire, the subjects were divided into four groups. Two experimental groups, one with a higher SQ and the other with a lower SQ & two control groups, one with a higher SQ and the other with a lower SQ. The experimental groups in two separate classes of students with higher and lower SQ took part in 16 sessions of 3 hours of the LST based on instructional pattern of WHO (1996,1999), in a time span of 8 weeks. At the end of the course, they filled out SCL90-R questionnaire for the second time as the post test. Finally, after four months in order to figure out the stability or possible changes in the results, once more, in a follow-up study, the SCL90-R questionnaire was administered. The results of statistical test of Independent-Samples T test was used to analyze indicated that SQ and LST separately have a significant effect on the students` mental health, though in an interaction with each other, the two aforementioned factors have no a significant effect the students` mental health.

he aim of this study was to examine the relationship between perfectionism and medical ill-health in a sample of general population. A correlation analysis was performed to assess the kind of association existing among three dimensions of perfectionism including self-oriented, other-oriented, and socially prescribed perfectionism with ill-health indices including physical symptoms, perceived health, number of medical visits, and number of days sick in bed. A total of 274 volunteers (154 women, 120 men) were included in this study. All participants were asked to complete the Tehran Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (TMPS) and the Physical Health Inventory (PHI). Analysis of the data involved both descriptive and inferential statistics including means, standard deviations, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and regression analyses. The results revealed that self-oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism were associated with health indices in opposite direction. Other-oriented perfectionism showed negative association only with number of medical visits. It was concluded that self-oriented perfectionism would improve physical health indices through reinforcement of personal motivation, and provocation of mental and physical abilities. Socially prescribed perfectionism would negatively influence physical health indices through imposing high expectations by others which diminish mental and physical abilities in turn.

he aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of anger management and relaxation skills training on decreasing of anxiety, depression and anger among heart patients after bypass surgery.
In this quasi- experimental design, 40 coronary heart patients aged 35-65 years, having first bypass, were selected and randomly assigned to experiment and control groups. To measurement of variables, Beck anxiety and Beck depression Inventories and Anger Scale of MMPI-2 were used. Data were analyzed using the one way analysis of covariance. The findings revealed that skills training schedule of anger management and relaxation significantly decreased anxiety (p<0/001), depression (p<0/001) and anger (p<0/001) among patients.
Regarding the effectiveness of training of anger management and relaxation on decreasing of negative emotions among patients, manipulating this method seems essential in all stages of prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease.

Questionnaires of Conner-Davidson resilience scale and quality of life (SF36) were utilized for the both ones. The consequences of 9 sessions resilience training, through Covariance analysis, appeared that the mothers under the certain training have more promoted in resilience and level of life quality than the mothers did not enjoy those trainings. The resilience training gave meaningful effect on components such as mental health, low functioning, vitality, body pain, general health and emotional role while there was not the same effect on physical and social functioning.

Based on empirically supported treatments for schizophrenia, various independent researchers have shown efficacy of psychological treatment in reducing symptoms and improving functions but these therapies include only some parts of signs of symptoms. The main aim of the CBT is treating more symptoms and also rehabilitation. The aim of the current research is to investigate the efficacy of CBT in improving of functions and reducing positive and negative symptoms among patient who suffer from schizophrenia.
A Randomized Clinical Trial was used to compare the efficacy of CBT that of patients who receive treatment as usual (TAU). From Razi hospital in Tehran, 40 inpatient people with schizophrenia and persistent negative and positive symptoms were assigned. Patients were included if they were aged 25 to 55 years; had diagnosis of schizophrenia and persistent to medication for at least 2 years. 20 of these patients received a 16 session’s treatment over 2 months and the rest were located in control group. Patients in 2 group received Treatment as usual. The positive and negative symptoms scales, NOSIE & NCSE completed for all patients before, in the middle and after treatment.
SPSS 11.5 and multivariate repeated measure was used. Significant improvement were found in the severity and number of positive (P= 0/05) and negative (P= 0/001) symptoms in patients received CBT. CBT leaded to improvement in cognitive & behavioral functions (p=0/001).
CBT is a useful adjunct therapy in the management of patients with schizophrenia in treating negative &positive symptoms as well as cognitive and behavioral deficits.

he aim of this research was to compare the effectiveness of offline internet-based cognitive behavior therapy (OICBT) and individual cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) on depressed student.
Participants of the study were 24 depressed students who randomly selected from clients of Tehran universities counseling centers. Participants randomly placed in two groups. After applying Beck depression inventory (BDI) for both groups, OICBT was used for one group and CBT used for other group. To fallow UP, 6 month later BDI was applied for both groups. Data was analyzed by covariance analysis.
Results indicated that after therapy CBT was better than OICBT but after six month there were no difference between two treatments.
Results of this research showed that in long time there is no difference between the effectiveness of GCBT and OICBT. So, it is recommended to use OICBT besides face to face therapies.
