This study was conducted to determine the effect of group logo-therapy on self-esteem, social skills, and anxiety among adolescent girls in Tehran, Iran. The research was performed in a semi-experimental method with two groups (15 girls per group): one experimental group with logo-therapy and one control group with treatment as usual. The Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory, the Teenage Inventory of Social Skills, and Beck Anxiety Inventory have been applied to both groups in the pre- and post- intervention phases. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. Our results showed that group logo-therapy affected the levels of self-esteem and anxiety, but not social skills of these young girls. This study suggests that group logo-therapy may be useful for boosting some aspect of positive functioning of adolescent girls like self-esteem or reducing their negative feelings in response to anxiety but it may not be useful in improving their social skills. Implications of results have been discussed.

Introduction and aim: Research shows that personality characteristics play an important role in studying factors affecting anxiety among older adults. Despite the importance of this relationship, its underlying mechanism is still unclear. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the mediating role of sense of coherence in the relationship between neuroticism and self-esteem as personality characteristics and anxiety among older adults. Methods: A cross-sectional and correlational design was used for this study. The sample included 230 community-dwelling older adults (aged 60-97) from November to December 2019 in Tehran. Data on sociodemographic variables, Geriatric Anxiety Inventory-20 (Pachana, 2007), Sense of Coherence-13 (Antonovsky, 1993), Big Five Inventory (Rammstedt & John, 2007) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965) based on a multi-stage sampling approach were collected and analyzed with the structural equation modeling. Results: The older adults with high scores in neuroticism and low self-esteem showed a low level of sense of coherence. Low level of sense of coherence was associated with fewer symptoms of anxiety in older adults. Besides, sense of coherence partially mediated the relationship between personality characteristics (neuroticism and self-esteem) and anxiety in the elderly. Conclusion: Regarding the mediating effect of sense of coherence in the relationship between personality characteristics (neuroticism and self-esteem) and anxiety, improving the level of sense of coherence may be an acceptable intervention to alleviate anxiety among older adults that suffer from neuroticism and low self-esteem.

Wellbeing of the population is the main goal of each country. This study aimed to the structural model of self-compassion and psychological well-being, self-esteem and body image among female students of Shiraz University with mediator. The study population consisted girl students of Shiraz University. For this purpose, a sample of 280 student were selected using a one-step cluster sampling. The scale body image, well-being, self-compassion and self-esteem was used to collect data. Data were analyzed using path analysis by AMOS software. The proposed model is based on the hypothesis was tested. The results show that the model is a good fit. Based on the results of the structural model, "self-compassion is a predictor of body image and self-esteem", "body image is a predictor of well-being” and so "self-esteem is a predictor of body image". Indirect influences are consisting of "self-compassion influences on self-esteem on body image" and "influences self-compassion on body image on well-being ". Study the importance of self-esteem, body image and self-pity in well-being shows

The aim of this research was to present the life satisfaction path analysis predictive model Predictive Model of Life Satisfaction based on positive psychology constructs. For this purpose, 100 employees of Tehran University were selected by multiple cluster sampling method. The instruments used in this study were spiritual well-being, religiosity, hope, optimism, self-esteem, self-efficacy and life satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed using LISREL 7/8 by path analysis method. Results showed that that in the first presented model only, some indexes were fitted. So the modified model showed better fitting through data. Results indicated that spirituality; religiosity, hope, self-esteem, and self-efficacy variables have significant direct relationship with life satisfaction. Also, there is a significant indirect relationship between spirituality and religiosity with life satisfaction through hope, optimism, self-esteem, and self-efficacy variables. There was not significant relationship between gender, marital and economic status with life satisfaction. Finally in this research the role of positive psychology constructs were confirmed in life satisfaction that this finding indicates the importance of positive psychology constructs in life satisfaction.
