Abstract
Adolescence is the most sensitive (developmental) period of life that is accompanied by significant physical and psychological changes, which create various challenges that can affect the physical and mental health of adolescents. The aim of this study was to present a model of vulnerability factors in adolescent boys in relation to the challenges of adolescence. This is a qualitative research which conducted using a qualitative approach andgrounded theory method. The sample of the study included 12 university students of Allameh Tabatabaei University (Tehran), during 2024, who were selected by purposive sampling method and considering the saturation principle. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and then analyzed using the Strauss & Corbin method. The findings indicated 42 open codes and 10 axial codes including: "Lack of parental support", "Information guidance gap", "Sexual challenges", "Relationship with the opposite sex", "Independence challenges", "Problem solving management", "Aggravating strategies", "Negative emotions and behavior", "Guilt and confusion feelings", and "Lack of self-acceptance". The findings showed that: Lack of parental support along with the environmental information gap, exacerbates the multiple pressures of adolescence in boys and leads to lack of self-acceptance and negative emotions and behaviors.
