People with borderline personality disorder suffer from a lot of stress and negative emotions, so they experience a stressful life. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) on cognitive fusion, perceived stress and autobiographical memory in individuals with borderline personality disorder. The present study was a quasi-experimental study with pretest, posttest and control group. The statistical population of the study included all people with borderline personality disorder who referred to three counseling centers and a psychiatric clinic in Sanandaj in 1397, which was a total of 40 people. From this statistical population, samples of 30 people who were willing to cooperate and also available were selected, then the selected individuals were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. Initially, cognitive fusion, perceived stress and hyper-holistic narrative memory questionnaires were administered in both groups. The experimental group was then treated with Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) for 10 2-hour sessions but the control group did not receive treatment. Then post-test was performed for both groups. Data were analyzed using analysis of covariance. The results showed that acceptance and commitment-based therapy (ACT) has a significant effect autobiographical memory, cognitive fault, cognitive fusion, negative perception of stress and positive perception of stress in people with borderline personality disorder.

Suicidal ideation represents a clinical emergency in psychiatry and individuals with suicidal ideation had a higher risk for suicide attempt than ones with non-suicidal ideation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediation role of depression in the relationship between resilience and problem-oriented and emotion-oriented coping strategies with suicidal ideation. The present study was a correlational research based on structural equation modeling (SEM). In this regard, using multi-stage random sampling method, a sample of 372 students was selected from the students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. Participants completed the Beck Suicide Ideation Scale (BSI), the Connor & Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RIS), the Stress Coping Questionnaire, and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-13). Structural equation modeling method was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between resilience and problem-oriented coping strategy with depression, but there is a significant positive relationship between emotion-oriented coping strategy and depression. The most important finding is that depression acts as a mediator in the relationship between resilience and problem-oriented and emotion-oriented coping strategies with suicidal ideation (p < 0.001). Based on the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that resilience, problem-oriented and emotion-oriented coping strategies and depression are the main factors influencing suicidal ideation and can predict suicidal ideation.

The present study was conducted to develop a structural model of love failure based personality traits, attachment style and early maladaptive schemas, family (parenting patterns) and social (perceived social support) factors. The research method is correlational and structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all girls and boys with experience of love failure who had referred to counseling centers in regions 1. 2, 3 and 5 of Tehran in the first half of 1398. Among them, using voluntary sampling method, individuals who were willing to participate in the study and also met the inclusion criteria were identified. In the next step, 200 of them were randomly selected and evaluated. Research measurement tools included: Hazan and Shaver Attachment Questionnaire (AAI), Love Trauma Symptom Inventory (LTSI), NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), Young Schema Questionnaire-Short Form (YSQ-SF), Questionnaire Grolnick Parental Perception (POPS) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). descriptive statistics and inferential statistics by path analysis and factor analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the overall effect of individual factors, namely the three factors of personality traits, attachment style and early maladaptive schemas, as well as the social factor of perceived social support variable on love failure of boys and girls in Tehran was significant. In relation to the second hypothesis, namely the family factor or parenting patterns in the present study, the results of the structural equation model showed that the overall effect of this variable on love failure was not significant. However, more detailed analysis showed that among the subscales of parenting patterns, the three components of father-child employment, support for father autonomy and father warmth had a significant effect on the love failure of girls and boys. The results also showed that the tested model is a desirable model and has an acceptable fit.

The present research is aimed at investigating the effectiveness of self-compassion focused Therapy on finding meaning in life, and sexual satisfaction in women with addicted husband in the city of Mashhad. The research was a semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and control group. The population included all the women with addicted husbands who had referred to addiction treatment centers. 30 people were selected by purposive convenience sampling. 15 people were randomly assigned to the experimental group of self-compassion training and 15 people were randomly assigned to the control group average. The questionnaires included Steger and Frazier’s meaning in life questionnaire (2006) used for measuring finding meaning in life, and Yavari Kermani’s sexual satisfaction questionnaire (2007) used for measuring sexual satisfaction. The mentioned questionnaires were used in two phases of pretest and posttest. The experimental group received self-compassion training program for eight 120-minute sessions. The findings of multivariate and one-way analysis of covariance in the experimental and control groups showed that the effect of self-compassion training was in the subscales of self-compassion training significantly increased the variables of finding meaning in life (F=12/42, P < 0/01), existence of meaning (F=4/25, p < 0/05), seeking for meaning (F=17/84), and sexual satisfaction (F=93/51, p < 0/001) in women. The results of this study suggested that self-compassion training is an effective way of increasing the variables of finding meaning in life, and sexual satisfaction in women with addicted husbands.

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of three methods of Barlow`s unified transdiagnostic treatment, Emotion- focused therapy and mindfulness on the body mass index of adults with obesity. The statistical population included all people with obesity in Tehran, that according to Cohen's table, 60 people were selected by available sampling method according to the inclusion criteria and were randomly assigned in four groups of Barlow`s unified transdiagnostic treatment, Emotion- focused therapy, mindfulness and Control. Participants' body mass index was measured as pre-test, post-test, and follow-up at three time stages before treatment, after treatment and three months after treatment. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, version 21 and mixed analysis of variance. The results showed that there was a significant difference in body mass index between pre-test, post-test and follow-up scores in four groups and between the effect of mindfulness experimental group with Barlow`s unified transdiagnostic treatment group and control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between mindfulness and emotion-focused therapy group and between Barlow`s unified transdiagnostic treatment and emotion-focused therapy group and each of them with control group (p > 0.05). Comparison of adjusted averages showed that the scores of this variable in the mindfulness test group decreased in the post-test and follow-up phase compared to the other three groups (Barlow`s unified transdiagnostic, emotion-focused and control groups). Also, with respect to the difference in the pre-test phase compared to the follow-up, mindfulness-based therapy was sustained. Therefore, based on the findings of this study, it can be said that mindfulness based therapy can reduce the body mass index with obesity.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mode deactivation group therapy (MDT) on reducing aggression of boy adolescents covered by Welfare Organization. Method: The research method was quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest and three-month follow-up with experimental and control groups. The statistical population of the study was 38 adolescent boys, age range 12-18 years, who covered by cultural-educational complex of Ashiyane-Rahmate-Elahi in region 11 of Isfahan, Iran, in 2019. Using purposeful sampling, 24 adolescents who have high score on the aggression questionnaire were selected and randomly assigned into experimental and control groups (12 participants in each group). Research tools included aggression questionnaire (Buss and Perry, 1992) which were completed in three phase by two groups. Apache & Di Meo (2012) Mode Deactivation Therapy program was run for the experimental group in nine weekly 75-minute sessions. Data were analyzed using mixed model repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: Results indicated that the MDT had a significant effect on decreasing reduced general aggression score (F = 23.23, P = 0.0001) and its subscales include physical aggression (F = 5.98, P = 0.005), verbal aggression (F = 3.75, P = 0.043), Anger (F = 8.45, P = 0.002), and hostility (F = 9.97, P = 0.0001) and this effect remained stable at follow- up. Conclusion: Since mode deactivation group therapy teach skills such as mindfulness breathing, emotional defusion, cognitive defusion, acceptance, and balancing beliefs toward alternative beliefs, it can be effective in reducing aggression and its dimensions.
