Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of treatment based on the biological experiences of parents with children with oppositional defiant disorder with parent-child relationship-based play therapy on the quality of parent-child interaction and symptoms of children with ODD.Research Methodology: To implement therapeutic interventions and to investigate the effectiveness of interventions, a single-case semi-experimental plan of the type of multiple A-B-A baseline plan with different tests and continuous measurement was used, and the tests were evaluated in the baseline stages, treatment sessions and follow-up, respectively. The statistical community included parents with children with confrontational disobedience disorder visiting psychological services and counseling centers in the cities of Arran and biddul in 2019-2020, of whom 8 were selected by targeted sampling and randomized in two groups of treatment based on biological parental experiences and parent-child relationship-based play therapy. Both groups underwent intervention individually and as weekly solo sessions.Findings: The results of the visual drawing, the percentage of recovery and the amount of the Paya index showed that both treatments had statistically and clinically significant changes and improvements in therapeutic interventions (symptoms of confrontational disobedience disorder and parent-child interactions) and the therapeutic effects continued during the follow-up period (p<0/05). The results of competitive validation also showed that there was no significant difference between the effectiveness of the two interventions in the symptoms of confrontational disobedience disorder, but in parental interactions the effectiveness was greater in favor of parent-child relationship-based play therapy intervention (p<0/05).Conclusion: The findings of this research suggest that in designing psychological interventions for children with oppositional defiant disorder, parents' lived experiences and play therapy based on parent-child relationship should be paid attention to the quality of parent-child interaction.

The use of different techniques and psychological factors play an important role in achieving a better level of anxiety in athletes. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of the Wim Hoff method on the anxiety of shooting athletes. This research, with a semi-experimental and applied nature, had two pre-test-post-test stages and two control and experimental groups. The statistical population of this research is the athletes present in the camps of the national pistol shooting team in 2022 in the age range of 18 to 35. Spielberger's trait anxiety questionnaire was used to measure the level of anxiety. And 16 sessions of the Wim Hoff protocol were performed on the experimental group. The level of anxiety is higher than the average (<0.05). The effect or difference of the Wim Hoff method on the level of anxiety in the experimental group is equal to 0.890. In other words, 89% of the individual differences in the test group's anxiety scores are related to the effect of the Wim Hoff method. Also, in trait anxiety and competitive anxiety, women experience more anxiety (<0.05).The results showed that shooting athletes experience higher than average levels of anxiety. Wim Hoff's method was able to reduce the level of competitive anxiety of shooting athletes. According to the results of this research, the Wim Hoff method is recommended as a regular exercise to reduce anxiety.

The present article was done with the aim to investigate the effectiveness of self- compassion treatment on the tolerance of failure and emotions control among poor parenting Adolescents of Tehran family analogous centers. The method of present research was quasi-experimental by the design of pre- posttest in separated groups. The statistical population consisted of all adolescents between the ages of 13 to 19 who were under supervision of Tehran welfare organization in 2023. The sample case was consisted of 40 adolescents who were voluntarily participating in the study and were selected and categorized into two experimental and control groups. The Harrington’s (2005) questionnaire was applied to measure adolescents’ tolerance of failure, also their emotions control was evaluated through Williams et al (1997) questionnaire. Both groups took part in the pretests of tolerance of failure and emotions control prior to the treatment. Self- compassion treatment was presented within 8 sessions through an educational protocol for the experimental group, however the control group had no educational treatment session. Then, after these treatment sessions, both groups re-answered to the same questionnaires of pre- test level, the process was repeatedly done after 45 days. The obtained data was analyzed through Mixed Variance Analysis. The Results demonstrated that self-compassion treatment was effective on the tolerance of failure and the emotions control increase, meanwhile the effectiveness of tolerance of failure was stable up to 45 days later(p<0.05). According to the effectiveness of self-compassion treatment on the increase of adolescents’ tolerance of failure and emotions control, it was suggested to apply this method in the family analogous supportive centers, in order to improve adolescents’ emotional status and tolerance of failure.

The main aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on distress tolerance, irrational beliefs, and anger rumination in patients with scientific obsessive-compulsive disorder. In this quasi-experimental study, the statistical population included all patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder in Tehran who referred to psychology and counseling centers in 2022. Among those who met the inclusion criteria, 30 people were selected by convenience sampling to participate in the study. These people were randomly divided into two groups of 15 people. Those who were placed in the intervention group underwent dialectical behavior therapy intervention in 10 2-hour sessions. In this study, the questionnaires of Distress Tolerance by Simmons and Gaher (2005), Irrational Beliefs and Anger Rumination by Sakodolski et al. (2001), and Practical Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder by Padua (1988) were used. The data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of covariance in SPSS software. The results showed that the two intervention and control groups had significant differences in distress tolerance, irrational beliefs, and anger rumination at pre-test, post-test, and follow-up. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that dialectical behavior therapy is effective in improving distress tolerance, irrational beliefs, and anger rumination in patients with scientific obsessive-compulsive disorder. Therefore, dialectical behavior therapy can be used to improve patients with practical obsessive-compulsive disorder.

AbstractIntroduction: Childhood traumas and behavioral problems can have a profound effect on psychological characteristics and mental health of individuals throughout their lives. The aim of this study was to present a model for predicting suicidal thoughts based on childhood traumas and behavioral problems by mediating stressful life events in female adolescents in Khorramabad.Method: The present study is a correlation of structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the study consisted of 800 female adolescents in the age group of 14 to 18 years old in Khorramabad city who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The measurement tools included the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), Adolescent Self-Assessment Scale (YSR), Suicidal Ideation Scale (BSSI), Academic Stress Scale (Zajakova), Gender Discrimination Scale (Klonoff and Landrine) and Drug Tendency Scale (Mousavi et al.) Was. Data were analyzed using structural equation analysis (SEA) using SPSS-19 and AMOS-19 software. Results: The results showed that the proposed model was well-fitted (RMSEA=0.08 p < 0.001). In this model, childhood traumas had a significant indirect effect on suicidal thoughts through behavioral problems (p < 0.05, (β = 0.59). Additionally, childhood traumas had an effect on suicidal thoughts through stressful events (β = 0.22), behavioral problems had an effect on suicidal thoughts through stressful events (β = 0.54), life stress events (β = 0.48), and behavioral problems (β = 0.46) also had a significant direct effect on suicidal thoughts (p < 0.05).Discussion: Suicidal ideation can be affected by early childhood traumas and behavioral problems resulting from these traumas with the mediating role of stressful life events. The findings of this study can help the authorities to identify the risk factors and factors of suicide, and health professionals can use this research to develop a suicide prevention program for students.
