This qualitative research addresses the evolution of the concept of self from the perspective of Transcendental Philosophy and Post-Modern Psychology with the aim of clarifying their approach towards the human psychopathology.
The research sample covered all the available reference books on Transcendental Philosophy and Post-Modern Psychology, and the extracted information was recorded on more than 1000 note cards. The content analysis method was employed to extract the key concepts of self and human psychopathology which were later arranged in two separate tables and approved by three experts in the field. The key concepts were also compared and contrasted using the hermeneutic method; they were classified as the perspectives of Mulla Sadra and Post-Modern Psychology, and a third perspective, formulated by the researcher, was clarified on their basis.
The results indicated that while the two perspectives share some common ground on the evolution of the concept of self and the human psychopathology, they show substantial differences in the manner the concept of self is evolved, the causes of disease and their types and treatments. Having blended the earlier approaches, the researcher finally presented her own perspective.

Difficult conditions can reduce hope and meaning of life, increase depression and thus deteriorate the quality of life. This research is an attempt to assess the effectiveness of logo therapy in increasing hope to life in addicts with short-term addiction recovery. Therefore, Miller Test was administered as pre-test, post-test and follow-up measure on two groups (experimental group and control group). Both groups were made up of 15 people. Between the pre-test and post-test, the experimental group received 12 sessions of logo therapy. The data were analyzed using ANOVA, MANOVA, Scheffe test and independent t-test. The results showed no significant difference between two groups in the pre-test, but a significant difference between the results of pretest-posttest and pretest-follow up test in two groups. They confirmed the lasting effectiveness of logo therapy and its role in increasing hope to life and social adjustment in addicts who are spending their first months of recovery.

Anxiety sensitivity, meta-worry and emotion regulation are critical psychological components involved in social anxiety disorder. The present paper seeks to study anxiety sensitivity, meta-worry and components of emotion regulation in students with and without social anxiety disorder.
This paper presents the ex post facto research design (causal-comparative method). The sample included 92 patients (46 patients with social anxiety disorder and 46 normal people). Data was collected using Wells anxiety thoughts, Gross and John emotion regulation, and Reiss and Peterson anxiety sensitivity index. They were also analyzed through MANOVA.
The results showed that there were significant differences between groups of students with and without social anxiety disorder in anxiety sensitivity, meta-worry and reappraisal. In other words, students with social anxiety disorder experience more anxiety sensitivity and meta-worry and less reappraisal than the control group. Also, there was no significant difference between groups in terms of suppression.
The anxiety sensitivity, meta-worry and reappraisal are psychological structures which play a significant role in the development of social anxiety disorder and can lead to persistence of its symptoms.

A recent surge in narcissism research by personality and clinical psychologists has been prompted thanks to the development of the Narcissistic Personality Inventory )NPI-40). The purpose of the present study is to investigate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of NPI-40.
A total number of 410 (234 male and 176 female) students in the academic year 2011-2012 with an average age of 25-26 years were selected through stratified sampling to serve as the subjects of this study. They completed NPI-40, Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory–III (MCMI-III) and Extraversion Agreeableness Subscales of Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI). The reliability coefficients of internal consistency, test-retest and concurrent validity were also reported.
The results showed that the total NPI-40 test-retest reliability and internal consistency were 0/81 and 0/77, respectively. The correlation coefficients between NPI-40 and MCMI-III and Extraversion Agreeableness Subscales of NEO-FFI were also reported at 0/82, 0/73 and 0/68, which indicate a satisfactory convergent validity for NPI-40.
Confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the seven-factor model of NPI-40 fits the Iranian sample. MANOVA results also indicated that the total score of Narcissism for men is significantly higher than the one for women.

This study aims to investigate the role of self-efficacy, social support and optimism in predicting mental wellbeing in order to develop a structural model in students. A sample of 293 BA, MA and PhD students from Faculty of Psychology of Allameh Tabataba'i University was selected through stratified sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using LISREL and SPSS software, and the direct, indirect and overall impacts of the variables of self-efficacy, social support and optimism on mental wellbeing were investigated.
The results led to the composition of a model. In the obtained model, the results indicate that a desirable level of self-efficacy, optimism and social support have a significant impact on happiness. In addition, the two variables of self-efficacy and optimism showed a direct and significant impact on happiness. In the discussed model, the variables of self-efficacy and optimism were able to explain 42 percent of the variance of mental wellbeing.
In conclusion, it seems that any increase in the level of the students’ self-efficacy, social support and optimism heightens their feeling of mental wellbeing. As found in the final model, the three variables directly and indirectly improve the feeling of mental wellbeing

The addicts experience various forms of mental stress in their daily lives. Inability to handle the stress reduces their quality of life and thus increases their dependence on drug.
The present article seeks to study the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral stress management therapy in improving the male addict's quality of life.
In a pilot study, 30 male addicts in a rehabilitation center in Isfahan were selected through random sampling to represent the experimental group (15 patients) and control group (15 patients). The experimental group received ten 90-minute sessions of cognitive-behavioral stress management therapy while the control group received no treatment. All the patients completed the SF-36 questionnaire at the beginning of the study, at its end and 3 months after its completion. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance.
The results of the covariance analysis demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups regarding the improvement of the quality of life. The experimental group received higher scores in both the post-test and follow-up test (p<005).
The cognitive-behavioral stress management therapy has a significant impact on improving the male addicts' quality of life.

Adolescence is one of the important stages of evolution in human life that associated with frequency of stressful factors. This course represents a deep change that separates children of adult and creates the different transformations in it. All people living with challenges and problems but everyone answers to the issues in their way. Some of them face in reasonable assessment and logical way. In contrast, some other try in different methods such as the occurrence of anger and aggression, taking refuge in alcohol and other drugs and avoid of dealing with problems by ineffective strategies Instead of adjustment coping. The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of anger management training on social adjustment of high school female students in Rasht city.The design of this study is experimental with pretest-post test control group. Statistical population of this research is all of the high school female students in Rasht city that have been studying in 1389-90. . Sampling (n= 30) was done from subjects with Adjustment Inventory for High school Student (AISS) that their score were higher than group mean score and were divided in control (n=15) and experimental (n=15) groups. The experimental group attended at anger management training program in 8 sessions, 90 minutes each. Data analyzed by MANCOVA method’s at SPSS-16 software.
The finding indicated that observed F proportion was statistically significant (p < 0.05According to these result, anger management training can be effective in increasing social adjustment or reducing the Intensity of Non-social adjustment.
